I just realized that being an IT person, strictly speaking I am not on the bleeding edge of technology. Not until Microsoft sees blog as a business opportunity did I start using it. With the huge capital background, surely she can turn this lucrative within weeks. How can anyone possibly override her market share?

The first weblog came out at 1997. 7 year after, Microsoft 'realizes' that weblog is a big business... It seems that it is a joke.

Something similar happened in the past. You may not notice that Windows 95 do not have build-in support of Internet, and you were required to install the TCP/IP protocol and network card driver at that time.
Once again, Microsoft is behind the trend.
In addition, Microsoft is one of the shareholder of CNet.
